A product enters the catalog only when we can identify a specific model, document the dimensions and setup requirements that matter, and locate a legitimate retailer listing. Retail availability does not guarantee a recommendation.
Source hierarchy
Manufacturer manuals, specification pages, and support documents are preferred for dimensions, installation, power, water, drainage, ventilation, mounting, and safety. Retailer pages help locate current listings and dated feedback, but a retailer description does not replace the manual.
Testing and evidence
We clearly distinguish manufacturer specifications, links to retailer feedback, and our own analysis. We do not claim hands-on testing unless it actually occurred and is described on the page. Illustrations labeled hypothetical or not to scale are planning aids, not product photographs or installation approvals.
Fit analysis
Our editorial judgment explains how a product's documented size and setup interact with a small-space problem. It may identify a strong use case or a reason to reject a model, but it cannot inspect a reader's room, wall, plumbing, electrical system, lease, or vehicle.
Reviews and ratings
We link to current customer feedback at the retailer. We do not reproduce retailer ratings, counts, review text or review themes without an authorized content source.
Corrections
Material errors are corrected when a reliable source supports the change. Compatibility and safety concerns receive priority, and uncertain critical information remains labeled rather than being guessed. Readers can report a correction through the Contact & Corrections page.
Commercial relationships
Affiliate compensation does not purchase a ranking. Required disclosures appear where readers can see them before acting on a recommendation.
Update practice
Product availability and specifications change. Verification dates identify when the listed facts were checked; a date is not a promise that a retailer, price, rating, or manual will remain unchanged. Recheck the linked source before ordering.
How to trust the result
Every recommendation has a boundary.
We separate published specifications, dated retailer feedback, and our own fit analysis. A strong match still needs the right manual, clearance, utility, mounting, lease, and delivery checks.
